OUR PROGRAMS

Our programs provide affordable immigration support to all newcomers regardless of their race, religion, sex, or creed.

 

Immigration Support

HACC Immigration Support Program provides aid with completing applications such as work authorization, affidavits of support, adjustment of status, naturalization, Temporary Protected Status (TPS), replacement of immigration documents, the extension of non-immigrant visas, change of status, petitions for family reunification, political asylum, humanitarian parole, and other services deemed necessary.

 

Civil Engagement

HACC assists with voter registration and applications. HACC hosts forums to encourage residents to identify and articulate their needs and participate in the decision-making processes that impact their lives. 

 

Citizenship and Naturalization Assistance

There are many advantages to becoming a U.S. citizen including helping family members immigrate to the United States, traveling with a U.S. passport, and voting in U.S. elections. Millions of lawful permanent residents are eligible to naturalize but need support to take the important step of becoming a U.S. citizens.

 

We have FREE Citizenship events and our costs for your Immigration processes as a non-profit organization are accessible to everyone.

 

Eligible Legal Permanent Residents (LPRs) are assisted in applying for their U.S. citizenship and preparing for interviews.

Community Outreach and Education

HACC aims to empower Haitian Americans through education, cultural awareness, and community outreach programs. Every year, around the Haitian Flag Day celebration, HACC holds a health fair to raise awareness and understanding about Haitian culture and traditions, to strengthen the ethnic pride of Haitian and Haitian American youth, and to celebrate Haitian achievements across the globe.

HACC upholds partnerships with local and national organizations with a shared mission, vision, and goals for the well-being of the Haitian-American community. 

Education Attainment and Advocacy

A key factor in our students' success is our community's ability to advocate successfully. Our undertaking is to promote student achievement and preparation for global competitiveness by fostering educational excellence and ensuring equal access to Haitian Americans.

 

Health Insurance Enrollment

HACC provides enrollment assistance in insurance programs such as Medicaid, KidCare, and Affordable Care Act while promoting education and access to health services to create a culture of health.

 

Rental/Mortgage Assistance

You may qualify for help with past due rent or mortgage if you have experienced an unexpected financial crisis. Examples of unexpected, temporary loss of income include domestic violence, loss of job, reduced work hours, or a medical crisis; or unexpected expenses such as funeral costs, medical/dental bills, or emergency home repairs. Assistance is dependent upon the availability of funds.

Reemployment Assistance

Florida’s unemployment insurance program is called Reemployment Assistance. If you lost your job, were put on furlough, or had your hours cut or reduced to zero through no fault of your own, we can help you apply to receive monetary assistance and get help finding work.

 

If you want to use direct deposit, you must provide your bank account number and routing number. You can also request a Reemployment Assistance debit card.
